1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Public MCP Registry ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Public MCP Registry is a directory and registry for Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. We provide a platform for developers to discover, list, and manage MCP server integrations.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.

4. User Content

4.1 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

4.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to submit content that:

  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains malicious code or harmful content
  • Is false, misleading, or deceptive
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Contains spam or unauthorized advertising

5. MCP Server Listings

5.1 Listing Requirements

When submitting an MCP server listing, you represent that you have the right to list the server and that the information provided is accurate and complete.

5.2 Verification

We may verify listings and remove or mark listings that do not meet our quality standards or violate these Terms.

6. Paid Services & Payments

6.1 Pricing & Billing

We offer various paid services including Featured Listings, Verification Badges, and Advertising options. Current pricing and features are listed on our Pricing page. All payments are securely processed through our payment partner, Polar.sh.

6.2 Featured Listings

Featured Listings are a subscription-based service billed monthly. Your featured status remains active for the duration of the paid period. You may cancel your subscription at any time; however, the service will continue until the end of the current billing cycle.

6.3 Verification Badges

The Verification Badge is a one-time fee service. This fee covers the manual review process required to verify ownership and legitimacy of an MCP server.

6.4 Advertising

Advertising space is sold on a weekly basis. Campaigns run for the specific duration purchased.

6.5 Refunds & Cancellation

  • Subscriptions (Featured Listings): You can cancel anytime. No partial refunds are issued for the current billing period upon cancellation.
  • One-time Services (Verification): Verification fees are non-refundable once the review process has been initiated, as this fee covers the manual labor involved in verification.
  • Advertising: Advertising purchases are non-refundable once the campaign has been scheduled or started.

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Collect user information without consent

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Public MCP Registry and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party sites.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PUBLIC MCP REGISTRY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Public MCP Registry from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
